Domain Name

Besides the set-up fee and the monthly hosting fee the only other cost is that you will be required to own your own domain name. The cost is usually around $10.00 a year or less depending on the registrar company you go with. (We do not get any of that payment) Owning the domain name is for your protection.

Our support team will be more than happy to help you find and purchase your domain name for you.   If you want to see if a domain name is available then go to www.godaddy.com and go to the START YOUR DOMAIN NAME SEARCH HERE.

If you want to go ahead and purchase your domain name without our help then follow these easy instructions:

1. Log onto www.godaddy.com
2. Search for domain name until you find one that you want to purchase
3. HINT – try and stick with DOT COM extensions. (not DOT NET or one of the others)
4. Once you find one that you like and it says “is available” then click on the CONTINUE button below.
5. Be careful because during the process GO DADDY will try and “upsell” you on other items (like hosting) but you do not need anything but the domain name. Also, go ahead and pay for 5-years so that you do not have to worry and renewing the domain name for awhile.
6. Please keep track of the LOGIN number and PASSWORD because we will need that at some point to forward the domain to the proper web pages.

HELPFUL HINTS when trying to decide on a domain name.

Of course using your name or business name is always a good idea but here are some other ideas to take into consideration.

You could use a combination of your name (or company name) and one of the following phrases. So if your name is FRANK then you might try one of the following:

• Frankbuyshouses.com
• Frankbuyshomes.com
• Frankhomebuyer.com
• Frankhousebuyer.com

Of course we know that many of these will already be taken but we are just trying to give you some ideas
